Anybody that has ever owned a house knows that your work is never really done. Hunter and I started this project in August of 2007 and feel like we will be completely finished in August of 2037 when it is paid for. I have delayed posting after pictures of the house because I wanted to show you all the "finished" product. However, I have come to realize that we will be completing this project for as long as we live here. We still have a lot of furniture to buy, there are absolutely no pictures on the walls and we have boxes full of stuff we don't know what to do with tucked in several corners. But, even so here are a few after pictures of the rooms that are about 75% done.
These first pictures are of the living room. I am not a photographer, so you have to look at things in pieces.
My favorite thing in this room is the mantel and the new travertine around the fireplace. The end table on the left, Hunter and I just bought this past weekend at an antique auction. We were looking for furniture for William's room, but this and two other prizes that I will show you later is all we came home with.
This is the hall bathroom. We bought the dresser and my Grandaddy put in the sink and plumbing.
The Dining Room is probably the room I am most excited about. We still need a dining room table, but our old kitchen table is serving the purpose for the time being. Oh, and the buffet lamps don't have shades. I bought the lamps at an estate sale last summer and threw away the shades. I just have not found the right ones to replace them with. I absolutely love the color of this room; it is about as bold as I get.
Our bedroom is probably the most complete. Still nothing on the walls, though. Our bathroom is small, but I love the shower.

Looks great...I want to come by and see it in person sometime soon!!!
Ginny, the house looks great. Brooke and Tim told me ya'll were buying it, and I just knew you'd do something amazing with it. The hall bathroom is my favorite. I just love that sink!
EVERYTHING looks great. I can't wait to see it in person. I love all the paint colors. Of course I love the OWL findings too.
Ginny,
I can't believe the difference in the house! I love the character of the older houses. I really like the color in the hall bathroom and the sink. John told me ya'll were putting a dresser in the bathroom. He said he told Hunter the dresser should go in the bedroom. Please excuse him, he has NO idea!! I want to stop by soon and look at everything. I would love to know the name of the paint color in your hallway bathroom. Looks Great!
You have done a lot since I was there last! You probably have more things in 'place' than I do in our home that we have been in for a year now!!! :) Hope you are still doing great! You'll be glad that Jeremy and I didn't come over to your house to eat supper b/c Jeremy ended up sick the rest of the weekend. We will have to get together soon!!!
I LOVE IT!!! I can't wait to come see it in person! I can't pick a favorite room, I love them all! But the hall bathroom is probably in the running...love the wall color and that dresser/sink/mirror combo is gorgeous!
